Send alerts to a Slack channel

Create a Slack incoming webhook for a channel and choose which Scalar360 events post there.

Before you start: You need permission to add apps to your Slack workspace. Some workspaces ask an admin to approve new apps.

1Create a Slack app

Sign in to Slack in your browser, open api.slack.com/apps and choose Create New App → From scratch. Name it Scalar360, pick the workspace that has your channel and choose Create App.

2Turn on incoming webhooks

In the left menu open Incoming Webhooks and switch Activate Incoming Webhooks to On.

3Add a webhook for the channel

Choose Add New Webhook, pick the channel and choose Allow. Then choose Copy next to the new URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.

4Connect it in Scalar360

In Scalar360 open Integrations → Slack, choose Add channel, paste the URL, tick the events and save. Choose Send test — the message appears in the channel.
